Angela's afternoon was going poorly. She had carelessly turned herself into a banshee, and was now seemingly incapable of expressing herself with anything but high-pitched screams. This singular form of communication left her unable to recite a reversal spell, and was making her very unpopular besides. On her long, loud walk from the high school to the bustling Underborough Square, the only people that approached her were the local police, who charged her with disturbing the peace.

The sergeant gestured to a pay phone on the wall by the holding cell. "Okay, lady, you get one phone call."

Lady? Angela thought, slightly shocked. She still hadn't seen her face since the transformation. She was willing herself not to scream enough already. She dialed and gently cradled the receiver, trying to ignore her bony hands. She knew the trouble she was in. She waited patiently. One ring, two rings...

"Hello?" her mother's voice crackled through the earphone.

Angela closed her eyes and took a deep breath. You can do this. She cleared her throat.

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
