Hit-Girl sketch cover

Here's a thing I did for the Inkwell Awards at Boston Comic Con 2013.

Funny thing about sketch covers. They're always a little bit glossy, so pens smug easily on them. So I decided I'd try Sharpie. It's a sketch cover, right? Not a finished master work cover. I'd just do a quick black-and-white and do a sketch like all the comic book big shots. But here's the thing. It looked like shit in black-and-white. It was a streaky, no-line-variation, Sharpie mess. So I thought I'd salvage it with Prismacolor markers. But because of the smudgy semi-gloss surface of the cover, I had to be really careful about how I used that. But a few minutes and a couple of marker-covered fingertips later, I came up with this.
