I did something a little different this time around. In an effort to save myself a little work, I took photos for the backgrounds. It's the garden behind the Ropes Mansion in Salem, MA. I strolled by after work one day and was happy to see that hardly anything is growing there in May. (It's supposed to look desolate for the comic's sake.) I'm well aware that dropping jpegs into your backgrounds was considered cutting-edge maybe ten years ago, but I'm happy with the results. And it didn't save me from work at all.
