Here's the kicker: Link didn't just get turned into a woman, he was turned into Twinrova! She's a boss from Ocarina of Time who uses -you guessed it- fire and ice. I sorta wish I changed her costume from the original a little more, though. The idea is that she should look like a more cartoony, Wind Waker-style version of Twinrova. But the puffy pants from Ocarina aren't quite working for me. Oh, well.

Fantastic! The transformation is super fun, and the twist even makes sense!

even though you say that, as if confirming, I still am arguing about the possibiltiy that he's kokiri. A kokiri that can get outta the forest.

nope, in ocarina of time, kokiris don't age, and link does, therefore, he cannot be a kokiri. Also, after you beat the forest temple, the new deku tree explains why link came to be in the kokiri forest.
