Well, NYCC could not have gone any better (unless maybe a publisher picked us up right there in Artist Alley). It exceeded my expectations though. Between selling books (selling out of some!), doing sketches, and obsessively checking my 3DS for Streetpass hits, I was barely able to leave my table. (Thank goodness for Exhibitor Passes and early entry. I might never have played the Wii U otherwise.) So thanks to everybody who made it out there, especially fellow dA denizens ZeroForever and ThemeGuy for keeping me busy over the long weekend. And a very special thanks to all the people who wished me a Happy Birthday. As cool as it sounds to spend your birthday at a comic con, in New York no less, it was still a business trip. The con leaves us too wiped out to go out and party. Also, most of my friends and family are in Massachusetts. So having that kind of outpouring from people who enjoy my art enough to actually care about my birthday really meant a lot to me.
So I'm trying to unwind after all that, but also trying not to unwind too much. I've got a big commission from ZeroForever that I'm coloring. Then I've got an Underburbs release party at New England Comics in Harvard Square this weekend. After that, I'm off to the Rhode Island Comic Con, where hopefully I'll sell more books and do more sketches.
Oh, and if you're wondering exactly what it is I do at these comic cons or what the heck an "underburb" is, I suggest you click on this guy right here
Also, The Wonderful 101 is freakin' amazing.

Quarmissions no More Missions?
I’m going back to work at the frame shop, but I’d still like to continue taking commissions because I’m making too much mo— ummm having too much fun! I’m going to wait a few days before I post any slots because I’m not sure what the socially distanced version of my job looks lIke yet. (As I mentioned in my status update, I won’t be working with customers at all and just putting frames together. I’m living the dream, boys!) Prices and rules below. I’m still working through the wait list from April, so please don’t reply to this with commission ideas unless they’re really good. Angela's Magic Lessons - $20 Epilogues - $25 (this refers only to the ones featured directly after an AML ending. Follow-ups to epilogues are considered pin-ups) Character Pin-ups - $40 (+$10/each additional character) Sequences (4 steps, no extra panels) - $100 Comic Pages (no more than 7 panels) - $150 per page --- I'd also like to lay down a few ground rules just to ensure I can give as many people as
Quarmissions: UPDATED SLOTS 5/23/2020
Welcome to Wave Four! Here are the next five slots, selected from my wait list. If I haven't contacted you yet, I will get to you. But for now, I'll be contacting these five fine folks. I'm just listing them alphabetically. I'll contact each of you once I'm ready to work on your specific piece.

Quarmission Slots!
Okay, so that big illustration job is on hold, leaving me open for some commissions! (Yayyyy?)
You may have noticed a bit more activity here lately. Some of them were things that I had in the works for a while, some are just people who reached out to me. The details aren't important. What's important is that I could be at home for the long haul, and I'll have time to draw when I'm not playing Animal Crossing.
I'm not exactly open yet, as I don't want to get swamped, but here's what's on the docket so far. (In no particular order)

So This Sucks (but not quite everything?)
This whole COVID-19 thing is really starting to hit me now. I'm incredibly grateful that none of my friends or family have come down with it, but the unbearable feeling of uncertainty about the future is like nothing I've ever experienced. My day job has temporarily laid everyone off, so we can apply for unemployment.
The silver lining in all of this is that I suppose I'll have more time to draw. I'm not quite ready to open up commissions just yet, as I've actually landed a professional illustration job! It has a pretty tight window, so I'll need to focus entirely on that one project for the next two weeks. I can't say any more about it beca
